By accessing and using FRESHLife (“the App”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this App.

2. Service Description

FRESHLife is a faith-based wellness tracking application built on the F.R.E.S.H. framework: Food, Rest, Exercise, Spirit, and Habits. The App helps users track nutrition, manage exercise routines, monitor rest and stress, deepen their Christian faith, and build consistent daily habits.

The App is grounded in the principle that “your body is a temple” (1 Corinthians 6:19) and aims to align health and wellness practices with Christian living. The faith-based content reflects a Christian worldview and is provided for users who wish to integrate their faith with their wellness journey. Use of spiritual content is entirely voluntary.

  • The information provided by this App is for educational and informational purposes only.
  • Calorie calculations and weight management recommendations are estimates based on general formulas and may not be accurate for your specific situation.
  • Before starting any new diet, exercise programme, or making significant lifestyle changes, consult with a healthcare professional.
  • If you experience any adverse health effects while using this App, discontinue use and consult a medical professional immediately.
  • The App is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

4. Account Responsibilities

When you create an account with FRESHLife, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your profile
  • Keep your account credentials (email and password) secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to or use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Not share your account with others or create multiple accounts
  • Use the App in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not use the App for any unlawful or prohibited purpose
  • Take responsibility for your own health and wellness decisions

You must be at least 16 years of age (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use the App.

5. Subscription Plans and Payment

FRESHLife operates on a freemium model:

  • Free Tier: Access to core wellness tracking features, including basic food logging, exercise tracking, habit tracking, and spiritual content.
  • Premium Tier: Access to advanced features, including AI-powered personalised advice, detailed analytics, expanded meal templates, and priority support.

Premium subscriptions are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing to a premium plan, you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable subscription fees as displayed at the time of purchase
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
  • Prices may change with 30 days' advance notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance
  • All payment card data is handled directly by Stripe; FRESHLife does not store your card details

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your premium subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at support@freshlife-app.com.

  • Cancellation: When you cancel, your premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier.
  • Refunds: We offer a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of your initial subscription or any renewal, provided you have not extensively used premium features during that period.
  • Pro-rata refunds: Outside the 14-day window, we do not offer partial or pro-rata refunds for unused portions of a billing period.
  • Free tier: You may continue to use the free tier features indefinitely after cancelling a premium subscription.

7. AI-Generated Content

This App uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude AI) to provide personalised advice and recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or may not be appropriate for your specific situation. Always use your own judgement and consult professionals when making important health decisions.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including:

  • Supabase — Authentication and database
  • Vercel — Application hosting
  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • USDA FoodData Central API — Nutritional data
  • Anthropic Claude AI — AI-powered recommendations
  • YouTube — Video content (exercise demonstrations)

These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies, which you should review. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of FRESHLife Ltd. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App without our prior written consent.

Content you create within the App (journal entries, food logs, etc.) remains your property. By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to process and store this content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FRESHLife Ltd and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the App
  • Any health outcomes related to following advice or recommendations from the App
  • Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
  • Errors or inaccuracies in nutritional data or AI-generated advice
  • Service interruptions, downtime, or technical issues
  • Any other matter related to the App

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Data Accuracy

Nutritional information is sourced from the USDA FoodData Central API and other databases. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all nutritional data is complete or error-free. Users should verify important nutritional information from product labels or authoritative sources.

12. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or use the App in a manner that could harm other users or the service. Where possible, we will provide notice before termination.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights afforded to you under the laws of your country of residence.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
